Hi All,

My family friend has been told by one of her relatives who is a Spanish National, who happen to be her brother in law, that there is some provision in EU law that he can sponsor her and she could have a five years permission to stay in the UK. She is currently a student.

Could some one please advise if there is any such provision in the law as she happens to be quite concerned.

It is not likely that the person would qualify.

Read through directive 2004/38/ec for more information.
