pls advice me on NARIC statement of comparability.

I'm about to apply for Naric statement of comparability and English language assessment. I'm just wondering if there's a way of reducing cost.
Is it possible to apply for ONLY statement of comparability and then get letter from university addressed to UKBA stating the degree was taught in English? Or we have to apply for both?
I will appreciate if someone who has done it this way can share his/her opinion too pls.

Hi, if you are applying for a spouse visa then the English language assessment is sufficient as this confirms that the degree was taught in English and meets the CEFR level C1.
