Tier 1 General - Extension Inside UK

Hello Everyone,

My current visa is expiring on 30th May, 2014. I have posted question already for ILR http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... ml#p873361 and it is clear that I can't go for ILR before 07th Oct, 2014. So I am applying for extension in April using PEO services. I have query about the application form. Is this the right one? http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... l-form.pdf.

I am little confused. on the information page it says http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... /applying/
"How long can you extend your stay for?
If we approve your extension application, you will be able to continue living and working in the UK for a maximum period of:

2 years if you are currently a Tier 1 (General) migrant and your current permission to stay was granted before 6 April 2010; or
3 years if you are in any other eligible immigration category."

I am on Tier 1(general) but my last extension was granted after 6th April, 2010. I got my last permission to stay in UK on 30th May, 2012. I am looking at right page?

Why you want to wait till April? as the fees are increasing in April 2014. why don't you apply for extension in Feb/March?

Form is correct.

Regarding "How long", some ppl get 3 years while others get 2 years as 245CBis bit ambiguous

Many Thanks for your response. I can't go in April or March as my Visa is expiring on 30th May. I have go with 28 days before expiration of visa. Correct me if I am wrong.

No you don't.

The 28 days stated is a guide and not a law
