ILR by Post (10 Year rule) Success case.

Post by london55 » Mon Feb 10, 2014 12:56 pm

Hello Dear members,

this is to thank this forum for the invaluable information provided for FREE. I couldn't believe at first that this website was for free, since then I have recommended many friends to visit and potentially work with Workpermit.com

I have read all ILR various cases, particularly success cases and the dates they have posted application and received the visa, to have an idea for my case response.

I did post my application by myself, I have been in the UK for 10 years as a student, and my student visa (Tier 4) was due to expire in Oct 2014.

here are the dates (for those who are waiting for their visas):

13/Sep/2013 - posted the application SET(LR)

15/Oct/2013 - visited Biometric Fingerprint in the post office

then waited.....waited.....visited immigrationboards.com.....

04/Feb/2014 - received the documents with a letter

10/Feb/2014 - received the ID card

I hope you find this information useful.

For those who are waiting for their visas and for those who are planning to post their application, wish you good luck and hopefully you will receive yours very soon.

THANK YOU Immigration Boards members for doing this amazing job!

Hi london55,

did you have a template for the reference letter from friends who hold ILR/British? I wasn't aware that this is necessary but have read that it can't hurt so I'm going to ask my friends and my boss to write some for me (they're british) and am just wondering what they should write and what kind of format it should be in.

many thanks,

uniriri

congrats to london55

i have a quick question. i cannot find the continuous residence guidance for 10 year rule on the new UKBA website anymore. I am worried why this is the case.

am i right that continuous residence rules are different for 5 year tier 2 and 10 years long residence? Because in the 10 year long residence a person can leave uk and come back to uk within six months even if that person comes back on a fresh new leave. This is exactly my case however this rule isn't available in 5 year category

please confirm
