ILR for new born

Post by Sundip » Sun Feb 16, 2014 9:42 am

Hi,

I have been in the UK for about 6 years.

5 years on Tier 2. Then we have successfully applied for ILR.

We are soon expecting a baby and would be applying for Indian citizenship for the baby.

Could you please let me know if the baby can apply for ILR in the UK and what's the procedure.
Also how soon can be apply for UK visa after the birth of the baby.

Thank you

Thanks for the reply.

You are right to think the baby will be able to apply for UK citizenship.

However we also have an option to apply for Indian citizenship as both the parents have Indian citizenship.

In which case the baby would require a UK visa. Any information on this would be helpful.

Thank you.
