Change of signature enquiry

Hi All,
I recently had some water damage to my passport. It's not that bad but I was told at the border that I should get it fixed. While looking on the HCI London website, I also noticed a 'Change in Signature' circumstance. This also applies to me as the signature on my passport is outdated. I was a minor when I signed on it and all my official documents have a different (updated) signature now.

My question is: Can I still apply for a 'Change of Signature' circumstance instead of a damaged passport circumstance?

I tried contacting HCI London for advice on this but there has been no response unfortunately. I'm hoping someone in this forum can shed some light on this.
