Tier 2 short term visa TO Dependent of Tier 2 long term visa

Hi,

Current Situation: I'm working in UK on a Tier 2 Long Term ICT visa since Jun'13 and the visa is valid till Jun'16. My spouse is working in UK on a Tier 2 Short Term ICT visa since Aug'13 and the visa is valid till Aug'14.

Need help in understanding: I was thinking of shifting my spouse to dependent on my Tier 2 Long term visa, before the visa expires i.e. Aug'14. Could you help me in finding out the steps required and whether it would include going back to the home country and then re-applying on my dependent visa?

P.S - I tried to sift through the threads first so I could find a related query but couldn't. Apologise if I'm asking an oft-repeated question here.

your wife can switch from T2 ICT ST to PBS dependant in-country.

Thanks Manci for the information. I have arranged for the necessary documents and procedure. I'm told that there is way to submit the application in person and get the visa on the same day itself, if the dependent applicant is in UK itself. However, I don't see it in the www.gov.uk website or any authenticated source. Could you please help me in this:

1. If we can submit our application in person? If yes, how and where
2. How much time will it take?
