Naturalisation - Requirements for Son over 18

Hello Members,

Hope someone can clarify and advice on my situation.

I came on PBS Tier 1 in August 2008 (and my wife and two sons) joined me in April 2009. We all got the ILR in July 2013. My elder son was under 18, when we have applied for ILR, hence he was granted the ILR without a need for the LIUK or English language requirements. However, he is now over 18 and we are preparing to apply for Naturalisation in August 2014. I believe he need to have both bothe LIUK qualification and also the English Language proficiency (at B1 CEFR level).
