I have a few questions regarding switch from Tier 2 ICT to tier 2 General.
1) Can there be a gap between the leaving of old employer and joining of the new employer? YES
2) Once the new Tier 2 General application is approved, can we still work for the old employer to serve the notice period? YES, until the start date mentioned in the new employer's CoS
3) Does the new employer have to do resident labour market test if the job comes in the shortage list (eg. 2135)? NO, but the salary paid should match to the SOC code for the said work hours per week
4) If the premium service is taken, what is the process? Is there any interview (as in any special ques ) are asked by the enquiry officer? On that day, submit your documents and they'll call for biometrics in 30 minutes and after 1 or 2 hours, you'll be given the decision and your documents back. If the decision is successful, your BRP will arrive in 2 to 5 working days. Also to be on the safer side, don't resign until your visa decision is approved by the UKBA.
Any responses are much appreciated.
Thanks
Natalie

Many thanks for your reply.
I have some follow up questions.
How long can the gap between the 2 jobs after the approval from UKBA? Once your T2G is approved, you could continue stay in the country until your new employer's start date and the gap shouldn't be more than 3 months or so, as is the CoS validity period.
What are the chances or reasons of UKBA rejecting the change of sponsor application? You never know and it could be anything
And Can the new employer give unrestricted Cos? YES, provided the new employer has any available licenses and the licenses are usually granted to employers by the UKBA during the start of every April's financial year.
Thanks in advance
