Cut off Date for Applying

Post by keerthi » Mon Mar 10, 2014 3:57 pm

Dear All,

I am planning to book the NCS appointment within next few days, thought of double checking the dates, before I Pay the part fee.

First Entry in to UK - 12th April 2008

ILR Approved - 10th April 2013

I am planning to book the appointment with NCS on 11th April 2014, due to other commitments in April.

Please can someone let me know if the date of 11th April is fine for applying.

Kind Regards,
Keerthi.

What you did 6 years ago (in 2008) is irrelevant

If you were in the UK in April 2009 (5 years before applying) you can apply any day from 9th April 2014.

I'm going to post the similar question in the same thread, instead of starting a new one, I hope it's fine.

My ILR application was approved on 3rd April 2013 and BRP issue date is 4th April 2013. My understanding is that BRP issue date is irrelevant; its the ILR approval date, which matters. So this means that earliest I can book NCS appointment is on 2nd of April 2014. Is my understanding correct?

Also, let's say (if I book NCS appointment for 2nd April 2014) NCS sends my application to UKBA on 3rd April 2014. Which date will be considered by UKBA for application submission, 2nd or 3rd of April 2014?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Correct

none of those. It's the date the HO receives the application so probably the 4th (if NCS used a next day delivery).
