Residence Card and unemployment

Post by meleryan » Wed Mar 12, 2014 4:18 pm

Few months back my husband applied for Residence Card under Eu Treaty, recently I lost my job, my employer stated in the letter that in the recent light of business my position is not required. I provided INIS with the letter, his decision is due next week will my employment cost us the approval of his application.

This shouldnt be a problem. Someone managed to get a Stamp 4 (or so he says) on another forum having not worked at all.
How long did he work for?

You could be one of the first to try it but under Article 21(1) TFEU you are execising your right to free movement, and after case C-456/12 it has to be accepted that you can be there as self sufficient, no need to work or be a student then.
