The employer has a Tier 2 licence, and is A rated. Once a SOC code is agreed, and they apply via the SMS system how long should it take for a COS to be issued?
One other thing concerns me slightly. I've seen the letter confirming that their licence has been issued (the employer has only just been licensed). It says:
We are making an unrestricted application. It's a switch from the Tier 1 (PSW) category. The fact that the employer is allowed to issue "zero" certificates is slightly worrying. How can they have a licence but have this condition imposed? I'm wondering if this is in fact a typo, and it should be a limit on the number of restricted applications, which would make more sense.The maximum number of Tier 2 (General) unrestricted certificates of sponsorship (CoS) you can issue is ZERO.
