Tier 1 Dependen Document Checklist

Post by guyinlondon » Tue Mar 18, 2014 4:05 pm

Dear Experts,

My friend needs to apply Tier 1 dependant visa for his new born son from UK, as the baby was born here in the UK. Could you let me know what are all the documents he needs to submit ?

Hoping to get some reply.

Thanks,

Same set of documents you used for your wife.

1) His Passport
2) Enough balance in the bank
3) Your biometric and residence proof

Thanks for your reply but i want to know about below.

1. What are the documents needed to apply for tier 1 (general) dependent visa for new born baby born in the UK.
2.If the application form is the regular tier 1 PBS dependent form, then in section K it asks how did the dependent enter UK with options as by sea, by air, by channel tunnel and by inland from republic of Ireland. There is no option for new born baby.

Please help us if you have any information about my questions.

1. Yes, you have to use same form and same set of documents.
2. Make sure your balance reflect 2 dependents not one.
3. Write NA. These forms are not computer scanned so you can write NA (Born in UK)

Hi,

Please let me know how much do I need to maintain in saving account as maintenance for me and my new born son who is born in the UK? Since I am in the UK for more than 12 months I need to maintain £900 for myself and £600 for the new born, correct? I need not want to show £600 for my wife as well right?

Thanks,
Raam

Thanks. Do I need to show maintenance for my elder son as well?
The reason I am asking is, in the application form they have mentioned the amount for main and dependant applicants. Since myself, wife and elder son already have valid visas, we are only going to apply visa for our new born.
If I need to show maintenance for me, my wife and new born, do I need to show maintenance fund for my elder son who already has visa?

You have to show maintenance for all your dependents no matter if you are applying for one or all.

You mean 900 + 3 x 600 = £2,700 for 3 dependants?

I bit confused about maintenance funds. I look forward to apply from India for my son born in UK. My wife and daughter have got their own valid visas.

Do I need to maintain £600 or £600 X 3 = £1,800?

Please see attached reply to my previous post which says £600

Many thanks
