Child ILE Appendix 1 or Appendix 2

Hi,

I am planning to apply for an ILE for my Infant in India. I and my wife both have ILRs.

I have been pouring over the threads in the forum to understand whether to submit Appendix 1 or Appendix 2 along with a print out of the online application (as it looks like there is no need of hand filling VAF4A). Threads from 2013 seem to suggest Appendix 2 however the more recent ones seem to suggest Appendix 1. This is further complicated by ukba site now redirecting to gov.uk. The gov.uk site doesn't even provide a link to Appendix 1.

Can you please let me know which Appendix is the correct one to be produced along with printout of the online application?

Got an answer from Chennai Visa Enquiry team too (albeit much later than Amber's answer)

apologies for bumping up this old thread...Even why family was around at VFS they asked and insisted for the appendix, where as the Gov.uk website says you only need to submit appendix 1 if you did not apply online

adult dependant relative of a person who is present and settled in the UK
adult dependant relative of a person with permission to stay in the UK as a refugee or under humanitarian protection
child of a settled parent or with one parent who has permission to stay in the UK as a partner or parent given before 9 July 2012
