Can a dependant (partner) of Tier1 entrepreneur work as employee of the business and does his/her salary count as investment.

I understand that it will not be useful for extension as they are not a British Citizen, but for investment purpose is that allowed?

Technically yes it will be investment(e.g u need a sales represntative for business growth) but this employment will not count towards your extention.

The Money needs to come in from the business account and not direct transfers and the PAYEE & NIC has to be paid to the HMRC for employment depending on the tax code.

You can hire anyone who has a legal visa to work in the UK in your case your dependent (Partner) Can work full time in the UK.
