Tier 1 General: Applying for a newborn baby

Hi Fellas,

I need a bit of a help regarding my situation. My wife and I are on a Tier 1 General Visa. We have a newborn baby and my wife traveled with the newborn to Egypt last week. As my wife is Egyptian so we did not apply for a passport and just took travel permission from Embassy to go to Egypt.

I need to know what is the maintenance funds I need to keep for the newborn. I understand that i will have to keep £900 for myself and £600 for my wife. Is that correct??

So, just to clarify do i need to show (£900+600+600) or just £600 for my newborn.

My son was born on 31 Oct 2013 and traveled with his mom to Egypt( home country) in March 2014.

That's what I thought. Arghhhh,They should only ask for £600 for the newborn init. So unfair. Each time we have a newborn it adds another £600.
