Post by natalisain » Fri Apr 11, 2014 4:01 pm

Hi

Apart from Universal job match, can any other website be used for RLMT?

Thanks

Download the UKBA Sponsor Guidance from UKBA website, pages 86 onward have the answer to your question.

Thank you for the reply.

Just a quick question, does the job advert at 2 places need to be posted together or it can be one job ad posted after the other?

Thanks

They can be run at different times or can be overlapped.
However the validity of RLMT is only for 6 months.

Hi

I just read that job ad for RLMT must have the closing date of applications.
But the job ad my employer had posted does not mention about the closing date. Just the posting date.
Will this be a problem? Can my application be rejected on this basis?

Though the ad is still online (even after 28 days)

Thanks
Natalie

Yes. The job posting should have end date.

Ask your employer if they could update the advert now or they would have to post the advert again.

Hi Muhdkhokhar

Thanks for your reply.

Even if my sponsor is able to get the job ads updated with the closing date, what if UKBA asks for the screenshots later?
That won't have the closing date

Thanks
Natalie

Is there a minumum period that the job ad needs to run? Also:
1) Does your employer need to be a Tier 2 sponsor to do the market test, or
2) Can he apply as a sponsor after the market test (i.e. didn't find anyone, and now needs to sponsor on Tier 2?)

Hi

My sponsor is doing the resident labour market test again. (as the previous one did not have the closing dates)
The Cos issued to me was after the first resident labour market test and the Assigned date on Cos is 9 May 2014.

Now after the second resident labour market test is done, will I be able to use the Cos assigned earlier?
As the Cos is valid for 3 months

Thanks
Natalie

Hi Muhdkhokhar,

I have been following the post and have a question regarding Resident Labour market test.
I am currently on Tier 2(general) visa [switched from PSW to Tier 2-hence exempted from resident labour market test.] and my visa is expiring soon.
My employer is ready to sponsor me for an extension of Tier 2(General) on the same job role but, unsure if they need to undertake the RLM Test.
Could you please confirm if I am exempted again from the RLM test or should they undertake for an extension?

@above

you do not need a RLMT if you are applying for an extension with the SAME EMPLOYER AND SAME JOB SOC CODE

You do not need RLMT for extensions.
