Process & Document

Post by naveen890 » Thu Apr 17, 2014 11:53 am

I am currently holding Tier 2 ICT long term visa valid till 2017 and my wife is holding Tier 2 ICT short term visa valid till Sep 2014. We both are Indian and currently in London.
My wife's assignment is over here and she have been asked to leave to India by end of May.
I want to get a dependent visa processed for her here from UK
and i am planning to apply for Tier 2 ICT long term partner category ?

1. IS this the right category?
2. I am planning to apply it by post ? Does anyone knows if there is any risk of losing documents ?
3. IS the below list of documents enough?
a. Wife's original passport
b. Marriage certificate original
c. My sponsorship letter (From A rated ) - It doesn't mention anything about dependent..is it fine ?

Do i necessarily have to submit the bank statement ?The problem is i have been here only for last 2 months so i dont have a bank statmeent from UK bank for last 90 days. But my wife here has been longer so she can provide her document if required..

Does anyone know how long does it take to get the visa stamped..

Naveen

This is the application form your wife needs to complete:
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _04-14.pdf

Documents have been known to get lost, both in the post and at the HO. If they are posted use special delivery. Alternatively, if you pay £400 extra over the application fee you can use the premium service at a PEO where your wife will take her documents herself.

The easiest way to deal with maintenance would be if your sponsor certified maintenance for your wife.
