New rules - five year's leave

Post by mrbojangles » Thu Apr 17, 2014 12:00 pm

Hi,

As you may have noticed the new rules which have just come allow you to apply for (up to) five years upfront for £1,202 or to ask for (up to) three years for £601.

In the application which we sent off on Monday we ticked the box asking for five years immediately, on the basis that the rules might change again in the meantime, and we'd rather have the security of five years from the outset. The CoS was also for five years. This is an application to switch from Tier 1 PSW to Tier 2 general. However, I've just checked my account and the debit payment has gone through for £601, the amount for only three years. Presumably at this stage they can't have even looked at the substance of the application.

Does anyone have any theory as to why this might be?

Thanks
