Heathrow terminal 3 confiscated passport n visa

Hi,
i was coming back from holidays in 2012 heathrow immigration officer after asking questions confiscated my passport and visa
said they r gonna do some investigation ( meanwhile report to becket house) still they haven't made any decision yet and initially they let me work but 5 months ago i got a letter saying i am not allowed to work has anyone come across this kinda senario i m on tier 1 general. and whts the best thing to do. HELP pls

Can you kindly let us know why the passport was taken?

Do you have any past immigration issues or any convictions?

it was just casual investigation asking about when did i come here wht course i studied, whr i work and how much tax i paid and then the immigration officer after 2-3 hrs had another interview nd said we are confiscating ur visa and passport v r gonna do some investigation and let u know its been more thn 15 months thy haven't given me an update. every time thy say thy r short of staff or someone is on holidays, we r on the case.
