Post by alex1290 » Sun May 11, 2014 11:06 pm

i claimed asylum in 2007 as a palestinan and till today there has been nothing regards to my claim, i have been refused but sent another claim but was told to wait or if i have any news i should ring them, i am signing at the police station every month and nothing new has since changed. im recently got married to a british girl now 1year and 2months maybe and now we are both have baby only 3 montg old, at the moment im finding life very hard and not finding a dencent job and dont know what to do with my asylum claim, which makes me worried for the future for both my child and wife
how could i get at least indefinte leave to remain through my wife or child
they are both british and my wife is a student not working
or what can i do

Ask your MP to chase the legacy case.

You have to leave the Country to apply for spouse leave, perhaps not the best idea in your case. And you don't meet the Financial Requirement, unless your spouse is receiving a bursary/has significant savings.

You could apply for FLR(FP) but that's a 10 year route to settlement. Perhaps waiting for the outcome of your asylum case would be best. Write a complaint to the Home Office, wait 8 weeks then write to the Government Ombudsman that should wake them up.
