Fresh Application

we applied for Entrepreneur visa from PSW route as a team in Sep 2012 and still waiting for decision. We received latter in March this year saying that due to complex issues more time is required to make any decision. We haven't been called for interview or asked for any documents. My team member will complete his 10 years in July this year and will go for ILR. My question is that can I withdraw my application in July and make a fresh application with 50k which is now in our joint current account? The amount was in third party's account at the time of application but later transferred to our joint account.

If your team member doesnt get any reply to his Tier 1 Ent till July then he can VARY his application from Tier 1 Ent to ILR.

For you, you can change the grounds of your application but remember, joint account statements from UK are not acceptable towards investment funding.

The account must be in your own name only (or both names for an entrepreneurial team)
only. Accounts in the name of a business or third party will not be accepted;

If you applying as a single applicant then you have to remove your team member from bank joint account as well.

@ searoze Thanks for your reply, I can remove his name from the account anytime as I am the main account holder. I have lost hope with my current application as I have been waiting for more 20 months with no decision. Do you not think fresh application is better option than varying application? Also with fresh application I can show funds in UK not in 3rd party's account which we did in our current application.

It is fresh application, you can add or remove any grounds of your application but if you change your application in same category or different category before the decision made on your application then it named as VARY application. Once decision is made then its fresh application. Furthermore, if you VARY application then you pay the normal application fee but you get your previous visa fee back.
