Exchanging Driving License

Hi,

I want to know whether is it possible to get UK driving license in exchange of my Canadian G1 driving license?
Secondly will i get my Canadian driving license back from DVLA ?

Seems that a learners licence so no lol!!

Also if it was a full licence you wouldn't get you original back from DVLA at any time.

Canadian driving license is convertible in UK (allowed to drive only automatic cars not manuals) but if you hold full Canadian license (G2) not G1.
Mistakes are the portals of discovery.
Please correct me if am wrong

Guys thank you for replying.
yes G1 is learners permit issued after passing theory test, but even G2 is not a full driving license.
So have to start from scratch :?
