British Nationality for EEA nationals

Hi Guys,

I have some general questions on how an EEA national can get a British Citizenship.
1) What is the qualifying years- 5 or 6 years of residence in the UK?
2) Is this 5/6 years immediately prior to application of British Nationality?
3) If a person once lived in the UK for 10 years between 1990 and 2000, will that 10 years satisfy qualifying year? (If the person has not lived in the UK in the last 14 years immediately prior to the date of application)
