Tier4 INCOUNTRY switching - Query on previous VISA cancellat

Hello

I have got a CAS from University of Manchester for a post graduate course and I am planning to apply for Tier4 incountry - premium (same day) service this month (around June 20th). I am currently in Tier2 ICT (long term). My course starts around August end. My question is if I get my Tier4 VISA approved on june 20th incountry how long I can work for my previous emplloyer (whose Tier2 ICT I am currently in). do I need to go back immediately if yes then within how much duration. please help. All Tier 4 restrictions apply once you switch to. You cant work full time during term time but in vacations. And cant sign contract or self employed at any time.

Thanks for your reply. Also, can I please get the help on whether I can get the Tier4 VISA as early as 2 months before the course start date. My concern is that if my course starts on 26th August and my old VISA (Tier2 ICT) gets cancelled on 20th June as my Tier4 gets approved on 20th June - Will I be considered illegal or overstaying as I think the Tier4 VISA is in effect only 1 month before the course start i.e July 26th in this case. So what is my status between June 20th and July 26th?
