SAB DPA and all that

Hi,

I know to get info on yourself from the HO, you write to the SAB. The prickly situation is that the Company I work for rushed my ILR for me. I was not here for the appropriate time, but it was a year or so short. But now its well past the given time (5 years). I don't know who, or how, I gave in my passport, filled out forms, with some blank spots that the Company lawyer said he would fill out, and waited three weeks, and voila. I am just a tad curious as to what happened. I am keen on parting ways with them, got a better offer. I was down in the HR office of our Company and requested my file, which I got, but they did not have the part of me and HO fully, specifically the part of me and this ILR thing. I approached the boss and he said that they may be located in the HQ and I may wait for a while before I get them. I need to know what they did cause I guess in many ways I was heavily ignorant and I have decided not to apply for my Polish Citizenship as we will be moving to Capetown with my fiancé in about two years.

I have never been asked about ILR in Heathrow, but I am getting married in the near future to my Ethiopian fiancé and when we apply for a family/spousal visa, I don't want to be surprised with something I should be aware of or find that the Company lawyer got "a bit creative". I never got the letter from the HO with a reference number, just a stamp on my passport and that was it. I am hoping that the letter with those details may be there, and I have applied for the full one to get to me, but in case its not there, what is my reference?
