Tier-2 General: Salary in RLMT

Post by msbi_consultant » Mon Jun 30, 2014 4:46 pm

Hi,

First of all thank you all for sharing valuable information on this forum.

I am tier 2 general holder, now i am filing "Change of employer" application. My new employer had completed RLMT test according to the guide line, but I have one doubt they have not mentioned the range of salary. Simply the mentioned "Competitive.To be confirmed". When I ask my HR about this, they are telling this is fine. And all the process is looking aftet by big law firm which has lot of experience.

My question : Is it ok to advartise with out salary as mentioned above?
If anyone faced this situation please let me.

Gurus, kindly share your thoughts.

Thank you

My employer also said that 'Competitive' is enough. I haven't got my visa yet but I think it should be fine.

Salary range is mandatory for RMLT.
it is the companies responsibility to complete it as per immigration law requirements, they can choose not to do it but say they have done it too.

The mess happens when applications get audited a d people get caught.

competitive for salary range should be fine.

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... actise.pdf

We have considered the location and the content of the advert and we recommend that the current prescriptive rules on how to fulfil the advertising requirement under the RLMT route are replaced with a list of criteria. On the content of the advert we recommend it should include the following:
 job title;
 duties and responsibilities;
 skills and qualifications required;
 an indication of the salary on offer. If the standard industry practice is to advertise the salary as a “competitive salary” this should continue to be accepted;
 location;
 closing date.

Thanks
