I have a question on ILR application..Please read with patience. This is my 1st post so apologies if things are not in proper order.
---------------------------------
I entered the UK on 13/05/2001 on a workpermit. Passport was stamped with entry date.
Stayed for 1 month. Left UK on 20/06/2001.
Came back on 15/10/2001. Passport not stamped.
Left UK on 16/11/2001.
For the above 2 trips, I stayed in hotels on office allowances. No salary or bank statements.
Came again on 01/07/2002 and stayed continuously since then. However, Passport was not stamped on entry.
I am planning to apply for ILR based on entry on the 1/7/2002 from where I have sal slips, bank statements, NI, NHS etc.
What date should i put on Section 6 of Set(o) form...i.e the date of my first entry upon which the application is based.
Thanks.

His/her nationality is irrelevant to the question asked, the answer will be the same regardless of where he/she's from.
The July 2002 date is what you should fill in. I was in a similar position when I applied for ILR and that's what I did.

It helps to get a context to provide better answers.
But since you know so much, whatever.

Many thanks for your responses. I have got an Indian passport.
Just to give some more details..My various entry dates based on holidays and business trips to the UK are as follows
13/07/2003
26/05/2003
06/05/2003
16/02/2003
01/07/2002
15/10/2001
13/05/2001
Passport was only stamped on the 13/05/2001.
I changed my job in Nov 2003 and got a new WP. My next entry to the UK on 04/01/2004 was stamped and I have entry stamps on all future arrivals.
Meanwhile, I have got a new passport in 2005. Got the UK Visa transferred to new passport and have travelled with it. All entries have a date stamp in new passport.
Should my old passport be submitted for the ILR application ?
One more question, will the old & new employer letter, P60s (2003-2007), sal slips etc be sufficient evidence to prove that I have staying in the UK legally & continuously since July 2001.
Many thanks again for your responses.

If I give 01/07/2002 on my ILR application, will it in anyway imapct my citizenship application.
Do the Home Office ask for the passport stamp as evidence during ILR and citizenship application ?
Many thanks.

Doesnt the application require you to include your passport?
So yeah the HO is looking at the stamp on your passport to verify your claim.

No, not at all. Based upon what you have posted, you will be able to apply for Naturalisation as British one year after you get your ILR, or immediately you have your ILR if you are married to (or in Civil Partnership with) a British Citizen.

Thank you John and SYH for your help and suggestions.
I got my ILR today and no questions were asked about the entry stamps.
Thanks again.

Congratulations! Now get on with your life. Great feeling, isn't it .. getting a new visa!
You now plan to apply for your Naturalisation as British in a year's time? Or if you are married to (or in Civil Partnership with) a British Citizen .... immediately?

Its not unusual with no entry stamp for non-EU passport holders when arrived in the UK.
I have had two times similar experiences with no entry stamps several years ago. One was by Eurostar from Paris, the other one was by flight from Frankfurt and arrived at LHR T2.

Yes, it certainly feels great.
I put the date as 01/07/2002 in the application.
