Tier 2 dependent spouse!

Post by S.RANA » Thu Jul 03, 2014 1:42 pm

Hello,

My husband is in the UK, and is on a tier 2 visa. I live here in Pakistan. I applied for a tier 2 dependent visa, which because of a misunderstanding in one of the documents that i submitted, my application was refused. I applied for a review, with the correct document in May this year, and i got a letter from the UK embassy saying that because of "inadequate staff at the moment" my case will be reviewed in December!! This means i have to wait at least 6 months! I am quite confused, as i do not understand whether i should wait till that time, or reapply fresh!
Can i please get some guidance?

It is, surely, entirely up to you.

You can have a review in December, still get a refusal or not as the case may be.

You can re-apply now, get an answer faster - but that might still be a refusal.

The difference is that you pay a second fee if you re-apply.

So can you:

a) Afford the second fee
and b) Afford to wait for December

Evaluate those criteria and you have your answer.
