Background Checks for ILR

What checks are best for the purpose of ILR, for instance;
disclosure Scotland, CRB, DBS, Police national computer etc?

Another question I am applying FLR (m) for my mrs along with my SET (lr) next month, do I have to do flat assessment for over crowding etc (with local council or property agent etc) as well just to show I can accommodate my family.

IMO, the more unnecessary documents you bring, the more suspicion you will raise that there is something fishy about your application.

Sending unnecessary documents is not my intentions, nevertheless I don't want to miss any thing or requirement too.
