Actions needed for next steps after citizenship approval??

Can someone guide me what are the documents I need to keep it ready for next steps... as I wouldn't want any delays as I have to apply for my wife immediately.
1) Date of ceremony
2)Passport appointment

Also can anyone give me link for passport application and let me know how to make an appointment for Passport appointment. Which is faster Postal or in-person appointment.?

Ceremony - Based on your council schedule, it depends, if they are busy, it may take more than 4 weeks, unless you are ok to shell out £100 + for private ceremony...

Passport - There is no in person appointment - You need apply through Post office or through post - better ready for a long wait

1) Once I receive a ceremony date in my local council. Is it possible to change to a nearest possible date elsewhere with in the county I live in ? Any idea

You can get the physical form from the post office or you can request online to be delivered to your address, you can apply online, but it has its own issues, please go through the sticky for online applications

What do you mean by this? What application do you want to make??

The quickest options for you would be:

1. Arrange a private ceremony with the same council you get the invite for. You can have the ceremony the very next day and will cost around £80. For a public ceremony you will probably have to wait for a couple of weeks unless you are very very lucky.

2. Pick up a passport application form and have it filled and ready before your ceremony. Put all dates as your ceremony date. This way you can send your passport application on the same day you have your ceremony and receive your certificate.
I would strongly advise you to make a copy of your certificate before you send it off.

Changing the council will delay the process by a couple of weeks so it would be better if you travel a couple of hours instead of wasting a number weeks.

I didnt write the one in Red font.. did u ?

I heard that we can choose an earlier date in another council instead of waiting but what you say can delay the application. I wasnt aware of this.

I am talking abt the citizenship applicaiton for my partner once I receive mine.

You have to sign and put a date on the form in declaration. Also you will need referees who will have to sign and put a date. Make sure that these dates are not before the date of your ceremony.

Just keep a photocopy of your certificate with you for reference when you send it off with your passport application.

Yes, I wrote the red bit. You can apply for your wife through NCS as soon as you receive your certificate. You don't have to wait for the passport, you only need your naturalisation certificate and she needs to meet all the requirements to apply as spouse of BC.

You cannot change from council to council without the certificate having to be returned to HO first. You can book a private ceremony if you wish if the wait is too long for the general ceremony.

Have you applied and received approval for your citizenship application??

Obviously don't send off your passport application with your Citizenship certificate as you'll need to submit that with your wife's British Citizenship application. I'm assuming that is more urgent than applying for a passport.
