New Question # D14 in set (LR) form about ties with country

Post by cool mind » Sun Jul 13, 2014 9:51 pm

I have noticed a new question D14 in the newish set (LR) application form that asks about the ties with the country born/lived for 5 years. What is the purpose/need of that question and whether it refers to UK too or only back home? What kind of and how bigger the answer should be written as the space is hardly equal to one line only on the form?

D14- Please state what ties you have with

.The country where you were born
.The country whose nationality you hold with
.Any country where you have lived more than five years

Is this question related to my home country or UK as well, as I am applying on 10 years basis especially the last question I.e. Any country where you have lived more than five years

Any suggestions for that????

Thnx

I think the entry of this question in form is unnecessary  because usually visitors need to demonstrate ties which justify that visitor will return home after short stay but for a settlement application where you intend to live & settle, this question is unnecessary

I guess that if the checklist has not been changed then simply and briefly answering that question won't affect anything at all.

I think if anyone writes
their country name= Family ties
Sounds more reasonable answer

I think this question is not linked with UK if U read it properly

.The country where you were born
.The country whose nationality you hold with
.Any country where you have lived more than five years

Country U were born will be your home country
the country whose nationality U already hold will be your home country
The country where U lived more than five year will be again ur home country

Last question will be answerable by those for example if any south African and he has spent 5 years or over in australia and now last ten years he is in UK and he is applying ilr in that case he/she suppose to explain ties with Australia . In this scenario answers should be
.south Africa
.south arica
.australia and explain if he is involve in some ties in Australia

This is the scenarion what I figured out, still you people can get suggestions from some professionals

Thnx

I agree with tryagain3. I also think that they only need information about home country and any other country where someone lived other than home country and UK. And given the space at question no.(D 14), i think a short answer will be sufficient. Others also contribute over it.
