Renewal Permanent residence

Post by zoeleong » Fri Aug 01, 2014 1:02 pm

My husband is eu. I am non-eu, holding UK PR and renewal date is year 2022. I would like to know how to renew PR, what form to fill up? Or I have to use EEA4 form again?

Thanks!

You are asking now what to do in 8 years time? That's forward planning.

You will need to apply using EEA4 but just provide evidence you didn't leave the country for more than 2 years (so PR was not lost).

Time flies :) Better plan in advance.
I hope there will be : tick the box Renewal in EEA4 form.

Apply with EEA4 form, that's mean I have to provide supporting docs/ evidence for the : last five years?

In your opinion, what other reason(s) ( I dont stay outside UK more that 2 years ) will HO reject my PR renew application?

Thanks.

The only requirement for PR renewal should be no absence longer than 2 years. There would be no need for treaty rights evidence. Just residence.

Base on UKVI instruction for PR Chapter 6 :

4. Validity of documents certifying permanent residence and permanent residence cards A Document Certifying Permanent Residence does not have a date of expiry. However, a Permanent Residence Card is valid for 10 years from the date of issue and must be renewed upon application. This is subject to Regulation 20(3) concerning the loss of the right of permanent residence.

It is not automatically renew, still need to fill up some form ie EEA4 to renew PR , right?

Thanks!

Remember: the form isn't mandatory. You can provide the information in another way, e.g. by writing a detailed letter and providing evidence.

I have to 'study' the form carefully now, to understand what doc and evidence to support my PR renewal.
