can i apply BC have gap of 5 & half months

Post by faislondon » Tue Aug 19, 2014 12:09 pm

I received ILR on 16 MARCH 2013. Went on holiday just for a month. In 2014 went back home on 02 march and returned back to UK on 17 aug 2014 after 5 & half months. Since I already completed 1 year in march this year. Can I apply BC now or I have to wait. Could someone please help me on this?

Thank you

https://www.gov.uk/becoming-a-british-citizen

The rule is -
spent no more than 90 days outside the UK in the last 12 months

As you were not in country for more than 90 days in last 12 months.. going by theory .. u dont qualify at this moment in time.. wait for some experts to respond..

You would be safe applying after August 2015.. or atleast within 90 days until then..

If you have had more than 180 days of absences in the final year your application will very likely be rejected even if you apply for discretion.
I am sometimes wrong.
