balance in bank

Post by DublinGirl » Fri Aug 22, 2014 1:26 pm

Hi, All Im irish citizen sponsoring my non eu wife and son I would like to know what the account balance should be on my bank statement in order to financially support them.
I have prize bonds for 4000 euros and bank balance at 6000 to 8000 can the visa office consider the prize bonds as cash balance.
Or I should transfer this amount to bank to make bank statement reasonable to support my wife and son.
Thanks to all

6000 to 8000 Euros should be enough but what matters is that you should have a continuous income that should show that you or ur spouse will not be burden on the state in the form of social welfare,

When i applied for my wife I had about 8000 Euros in my bank account but I have a job and my salary is continuous. You can also attach the copy of the prize bond just to support your application.

Good Luck

to my knowledge and experience, you need a steady and enough salary rather than bank balance, but of course having savings could help.
