Biometric residence permit

My wife's visa runs out on the 6th of the September we have everything in place apart from the BRP can someone help and explain how we get this done ASAP as we have limited time

I did a quick search and it said I have to pay £400 at a premium centre? They give permit on the same day

Is there any other options or way we can get this

Originally I thought when I go to post the SET (M) we will get it done at the post office but they told us we need to apply and make appointment and go to the centre

Someone please advise best course of action as it's a matter of urgency
