Employer letters original mandatory or scanned copies OK

Hello,

For Tier 2 general main applicant visa application; sponsor has confirmed in CoS that if necessary accommodation and other expenses for first month will be taken care by Sponsor.

Sponsor has also sent a scanned copy of Funds maintenance letter mentioning the above.
My job offer letter is also a scanned copy sent by mail.

My question is; can I just print these letters and submit with visa application OR I must submit original letters?

Hi,

All you need is a COS number as long as the Sponsor certified for your maintenance in UKBA SMS.

I always thought originals of each document is required.
