Scottish referendum impact for naturalized in Scotland

Post by dminus » Wed Sep 17, 2014 5:25 pm

Anyone can explain the impact of Yes vote in Scottish referendum on UK citizens naturalized in Scotland before its independence? What if someone wants to retain UK citizenship rather than a Scottish one? Would it require moving to the rest of UK ASAP (leaving job, etc.). How soon and for how long? Or someone will be able to stay in Scotland on a work visa? A lot of uncertainties. Thanks!

Very good question.

I am reading through this article as of now:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/events/scotla ... itizenship

And within that, I found this:

Regards.

Yes, thanks, but there are no clear answers there. Just enough to make someone nervous.
