Be nice! (and it's not often I say that to you Wanderer!)Wanderer wrote:Makes a bit of a mockery of the asylum rules if he was an asylum seeker doesn't it?
Just wondering if there's a law that an asylum seeker must never go back to his country? Or should his status be revoked for going back even if things have changed in his home country?Wanderer wrote:Makes a bit of a mockery of the asylum rules if he was an asylum seeker doesn't it?
Apologies, had had a crappy week, lots of travel, early starts, late finishes and was in 'a mood'!!MPH80 wrote:Be nice! (and it's not often I say that to you Wanderer!)Wanderer wrote:Makes a bit of a mockery of the asylum rules if he was an asylum seeker doesn't it?
There could be a large number of explanations - including that the wife and he are from different countries in the first place. It's also entirely possible the situation changed in his home country - e.g. Iraq for example.
