English Language requirement for Work Permit holder

Hi
My question is regarding English Language assessment for me and my wife.

I obtained ILR for me and my wife (+kids) in Oct-2013 after arriving on a Work Permit in 2008. My wife is a graduate in commerce and me a pharmacy graduate, from recognized universities in India and medium of teaching was English. We both have Original degree certificate for the degrees.

Am I right in saying that - before applying for British Citizenship I need to apply for Statement of Comparability and English Language Assessment documentation from NARIC?

Is that correct or if not, what documents do we furnish to prove our English language skills?
