New Tier system & HSMP visa holders

As It is evident that UK govt is likely to introduce a new system (tier based) replacing the current system. I wonder what impact that would have upon the Current HSMP visa holders e.g those who will be applying for FLR / ILR after 2008.

Any thoughts??????
