tier1 general dependant apply in UK or India ?

tier1 general dependant apply in UK or India ?

Hi,

For tier1 general dependants, the visa extension fee if applied outside UK (in india) is £874, whereas if applying from within uk by post it is 1607. Isn't it good option to apply from india then ? Even if you take into account flight cost appr £500, it will be £1374.

Has any one applied from India ? Whats the timeline like ? Any disadvantages ??
