Seek advice on visa for my son

Hi Folks,

Hope you guys are doing well. I have a below query

I am originally from India, hold ILR and my wife holds dependant visa. We have a plan to go to India in a month with our baby who is a couple months old and has a british passport. Since we dont have sufficient time to apply for PIO, I am trying to find a workaround. Is there any option? Some people say I should apply for visit visa for my son as it's just a week process and gives him 3-6 months visa duration. Is visit visa the right option? Please clarify if my son can get visit visa based on the situation? any additional info will be appreciated.
