Post by niazacca » Tue Oct 14, 2014 2:13 pm

Hi

Can someone pls answer, my brother applied today (spouse visa ie student to spouse swiche) at Solihull PEP office but they kept all the docs after Biomaterics, and said come back after couple of hours later, then they called them again after 45min and said application is valid you will get the reply in post 5 - 7 days, you can go home, just wondering if anyone had this situation before what does it means approved or not?

Any replies please. thanks

Seems as though they need to carry out additional checks for some reason. He will only know the outcome once they get back to him. It's not necessarily an approval or refusal.

If your brother used toeic before any application In UK then he will be refused if he didn't given his test himself. Even so many people I know including my wife done the genuine way still they refused under deception.
Hope for the best for your brother.

The position of the UKBA is very funny.

The reputation of ETS is in tatters .

ETS is trying to maintain their reputation and assist UKBA.

They claim to have voice recognition device, but there are to third party to verify this.

ETS states that they have done checks on all applicant and if their voice matches another person, and they notify UKVI then there is a refusal.

No account is taken into whether 2 people may have similar voice. Or no independent analysis. Such is the state of UK law in regards to immigrant.

UKBA allege that some people are not affected , if there voice is not found on more than one test. This is all a charade.

There is no certainty that OP will be refused. Some people are fine, and i am of the believe that the majority of people who are alleged to have done wrong are perfectly innocent, but they will need to fight like people from Cambridge of Learning, in the period during that face certificate scandal.

OP you have no need for immediate concern.

Chances are you may not be affected.

If they write to you, and you believe the allegation is wrong, you are best advised to resist is robustly, as failure to do so, will not only affect your ability to get UK visa, but could Jeopardise your ability to go to another country, nevermind your reputation.
