Child born to a non British citizen abroad

Post by Tahir78 » Sat Nov 01, 2014 1:17 pm

I have a little question to which im confused to.

Im a British citizen by naturalisation. Me and my wife are expecting and the baby is due in May 2014.

Im also in the process of applying for my wifes spouse visa.....

While her application is being decided, and if the baby is born before the application passes, would the baby become British or would I have to go through applying for the baby through the financial route.

I would appreciate any help.

The baby will qualify under section 2(1) of the 1981 act.

You could apply for a passport of a Certificate of the Right of Abode for the child.

No MN1 will not be Necessary.

British Passport or Certificate of entitlement, will be the appropriate direction.
