Eligibility for ILR unique scenario

Post by jhansi_82 » Mon Nov 03, 2014 10:44 am

Hi all,

I came into uk through Tier 1 General visa (01-mar-2011 to 01-mar-2013). After that i couldn't extend my visa so switched to Tier 1 dependent from mar-2013. My husband will be eligible for ILR in OCT 2015. Can i apply for ILR in MAr 2015 as i will be completing 5 year period?. or should i remain as dependent for 5 yrs and apply in 2018 only? can my period in uk as tier 1 general will be considered for 5 yrs period or not? Please help.

Thanks

Your five year residence period began in March 2013. You can't aggregate your previous leave with your current immigration status.
