Tier-2 application from France

Hi,

I am from Pakistan and currently doing PhD in France. I received a job offer from a UK based company and they are going to apply for CoS in next week or so.

Can I apply for Tier-2 (General) visa in France (once I get CoS) or do I need to go back to Pakistan and apply from there? I tried contacting embassy in France but they did not give me clear answer and same happend when I emailed them.

I hope someone in this forum might be able to help me.

You can apply in France if your current visa permits residence (a student visa does) and it still valid.
