Tier 2 General visa stay duration after switching over

Hello All
Background; I came to UK on Tier 2 (Established staff ) Visa issued on feb’2011 and arrived at UK on March ’2011 I renewed my visa on March 2013 and now I got residence permit on the category Tier2 ICT long term which iam extending every on year Now Iam switching into Tier 2 general.
a) Can you please let me know how long i can work in new visa category?
b) Can you please let me know am i eligible to apply for ILR after completing 5 years by switching into Tier 2 general visa?
