Can I extends my DLR before getting Biometric Residence P

In the application it is stated that the application will be refused without BRP.
I went to the Post Office they said I need a barcode from home office
I contacted the UKBA, I was told I can send the FLR(0) app without BRP and later the home office
will send the bar code ofr BRP - is that correct?

You only get a letter to submit your biometrics AFTER you have actually submitted your application and yes, HO will write to you and the letter will have the barcode.
