I will be happy if you can assist me with this

My cousin applied for a tier 4 visa extension. Today he received a refusal letter stating that there was 4 pound short in the maintenance requirement hence he doesnt meet the maintenance requirement and refused.

The bank statement he produce for 32 days has a balance of 2045 pounds for the initaill 31 days however on the day the bank printed the statement he used the card for food and spent 8 pounds . so closing balance showing is 2037 pounds ( Below the requirement of 2040)

However as stated previously he had the balance for 32 days but bank is unable to print anything before that because there is no transaction took place?

Can you urgently advice the best course of action

he has the right of appeal.
